Chris Flaherty

Chris Flaherty is an indepentend documentary filmmaker who specializes in making films concerning democratic process and human rights from a world view. He is particularly interested in the struggle to attain free press, democracy and freedom in countries like Burma, Ethiopia and North Korea. His most recent project, Migration of Beauty, deals with all these issues in Ethiopia. It further shows how an emerging Diaspora can affect U.S. foreign policy by engaging the political process at U.S. citizens. The film has been accepted into various international film festivals for 2010.
